TPO (Thermoplastic Polyolefin)

The flat roof you see on most commercial buildings is called TPO or Thermoplastic Polyolefin (TPO) It is a single-ply reflective roofing membrane made from polyprophylene and ethylene-propylene rubber polymerized together. It is typically installed in a fully adhered or mechanically attached system, allowing the white membrane to remain exposed throughout the life of the roof.

Titan Roofing does provide this type of roofing system for a great number of residential clients who currently have a tar and gravel style roof. If you are looking for a change from the traditional rocks on your roof then this may be the roof for you. A TPO flat roof creates a much cooler roof than a tar and gravel system and has a life span of up to 30 years along with a lifetime warranty.

If you are looking to install a single ply roofing membrane that will be energy efficient and are evaluating your options then consider a TPO roof. The attractive clean look of this system can come in white, light gray, tan or black reflective color options. Latest technologies enable all colors of a TPO roof to be UV resistant and “cool”.

TPO resists mold growth, dirt accumulation, and impact tears and punctures. It is made to be flexible and can allow for a home’s or building’s movement or settling. Reinforced TPO membranes can handle a buildings thermal expansion and contraction more effectively than other single ply roofing products.
